More than a dozen people were injured on Saturday when a stray dog attacked passersby near the Sheikhpura Nagar Parishad office. All the injured were admitted to Sheikhpura Sadar Hospital, while one seriously injured person, Pappu Kumar, was referred to Pawapuri for better treatment.

Among the injured are Pappu Kumar, Bunty Kumari, Madraj Kumar, Shakuntala Devi, Harel Kumar, Ram Udit Kumar, Suraj Kumar, Rajkumar, Radha Devi, and Kumari, among others. Relatives of the injured stated that they had come to the market to buy items for Diwali when the dog attacked them.

Dr. Snehangshu Kumar provided primary treatment to the injured at Sadar Hospital. Due to the critical condition of Pappu Kumar, he was sent to Pawapuri for further treatment. The incident has created an atmosphere of fear among local residents, who have demanded that the Nagar Parishad administration take concrete steps to catch stray dogs and prevent such incidents in the future.

Sheikhpura Adarsh Thana President Dharmendra Kumar stated that he has received information about the incident and has also informed the concerned department. This incident highlights the growing problem of stray dogs in the city, which requires immediate attention.
