On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, a comprehensive cleanliness drive was conducted in Sherghati town on Friday. Several senior officials participated in this initiative, including Sub-Divisional Officer Jatin Kumar, Municipal Council President Geeta Devi, Executive Officer Richa Priyadarshini, Circle Officer Usha Kumari, Block Development Officer Vinod Kumar, and Station House Officer Pramod Kumar.

Accompanied by social workers, these officials took brooms in hand and cleaned various parts of the town. During the campaign, they raised awareness among citizens about the importance of cleanliness, conveying the message that 'cleanliness is beauty.' Many public representatives and social workers, including Municipal Council Vice-President Talkeshwar Chaudhary alias Bhola Chaudhary, Dinanath Pandey, Pashupatinath Pathak, Talkeshwar Pandey, and Ajit Singh, were also present. They appealed to the citizens to cooperate in keeping the town clean.

Officials emphasized that government efforts alone are not sufficient to maintain a clean city; active participation from the general public is also crucial. They urged citizens not to litter and to dispose of waste in designated areas, aiming to make Sherghati a clean and beautiful town.
