In a horrific incident in Shivhar district, Bihar, a mother and her minor daughter were brutally attacked. Late at night, assailants broke into their home in Lalgarh Yogiya village, under Shyamapur Bhatahan police station, and shot the mother and daughter. The brutality escalated as the attackers, not content with shooting them, mercilessly severed the woman's fingers. According to villagers, no male family member was present in the house at the time of the incident.

The 55-year-old mother and her 16-year-old daughter, both severely injured, were referred from the local hospital to Muzaffarpur after initial treatment, where they remain in critical condition. The mother, screaming in pain and fear, fell unconscious after her fingers were cut. Preliminary investigations suggest the incident is linked to a love affair.

Acting on the directives of Shivhar SP Shailendra Singh, Shyamapur Bhatahan Station Head Sunil Kumar swiftly conducted raids with police forces. Four suspects, identified as Prince Kumar, Sudhir Singh, Pappu Singh, and Avinash Singh alias Takla, all residents of Lalgarh Jogiaya village, were arrested late at night. Police inspected the crime scene and called in FSL and DIU teams to collect scientific evidence.

Based on the victim's statement, an FIR has been registered at Shyamapur Bhatahan police station, naming six individuals and five to six unknown persons. The SP stated that during the investigation, the primary motive behind the incident emerged as a love affair involving the accused Prince Kumar and the victim. It was due to this dispute that a group of people entered the house around 11 PM and opened fire. Police are intensely interrogating the arrested suspects to uncover every aspect of the crime, and ongoing raids are being conducted to apprehend other individuals involved.
