Two teenagers tragically died in a horrific road accident near Khajepur Bridge under the Tariani police station area of Shivhar district on Wednesday. A high-speed collision between a Bullet motorcycle and a pickup truck claimed the lives of both riders, bringing immense grief to their families.

The incident occurred when a Bullet motorcycle coming from the Tariani side collided head-on with an oncoming pickup vehicle near Khajepur Bridge. The impact was so severe that both teenagers on the Bullet were critically injured. One of them succumbed to his injuries on the spot, while the other was rushed to Shri Krishna Medical College and Hospital in Muzaffarpur for treatment, where he later died. The pickup driver fled the scene with his vehicle after the accident.

The deceased have been identified as Raj Kumar, 15, son of Rajesh Kumar Singh from Sarwarpur, and Yuvraj Kumar, 17, son of Ravishankar Kumar Singh from Pojhiya, both residents of the Tariani police station area. Upon receiving the information, Tariani Station House Officer Abhishek Kumar Gupta arrived at the scene with police personnel. The police took the bodies into custody for post-mortem examination and initiated an investigation.

SHO Gupta stated that efforts are underway to identify the absconding pickup vehicle by examining CCTV footage from the surrounding areas. Police are actively searching for both the vehicle and its driver. The deaths of the two teenagers have cast a pall of gloom over Sarwarpur and Pojhiya villages.
