Preparations for the upcoming Shravani Mela in Sultanganj, Bhagalpur district, are now in their final stages. The administration is working on a war footing to ensure the convenience and safety of the Kanwariyas. Specifically, the task of removing accumulated sand from the stairs of the Namami Gange Ghat is progressing rapidly. It is from this ghat that Kanwariyas collect Ganga water to begin their pilgrimage to Baba Baidyanath Dham in Deoghar.

Before the commencement of the fair, cleaning and repair work is in full swing at various ghats in Sultanganj. Several laborers and machines have been deployed to remove sand from the stairs of the Namami Gange Ghat, ensuring that Kanwariyas face no difficulty in reaching the Ganga River. The administration aims to complete all necessary work before the fair officially begins.
