Police have intensified their efforts in Simri Bakhtiyarpur, Saharsa district, following a robbery at a renowned doctor's house and a fatal assault on his son. The incident has created an atmosphere of fear among local residents, increasing pressure on the police to swiftly apprehend the culprits.

Under the directives of the Superintendent of Police, an extensive search operation was conducted in the Simri Bakhtiyarpur police station area from late Saturday night to Sunday morning. During this operation, police teams specifically raided lodges, rented accommodations, and other suspicious locations. Every potential hideout for criminals was thoroughly investigated, and several suspicious individuals were questioned. However, no arrests have been officially confirmed yet.

A few days prior, thieves broke into the home of a prominent doctor in the Simri Bakhtiyarpur market late at night. They made off with valuables worth lakhs of rupees and cash. When the doctor's son confronted them, the criminals launched a deadly attack, leaving him seriously injured. He is currently receiving treatment at a hospital.

This incident has raised concerns about law and order in the region.
