A significant meeting of the Simri Bakhtiyarpur Nagar Parishad (Municipal Council) was recently concluded, where crucial issues related to urban development were discussed in depth. The primary focus of the meeting was on drinking water supply, drain cleaning, and the implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban).

Attending councilors and officials unanimously decided that ensuring the availability of clean drinking water in the Nagar Parishad area would be a top priority. Emphasis was placed on maintaining existing water supply systems and initiating new schemes as needed. A concrete action plan was agreed upon to address water scarcity, especially during the summer months.

The issue of drain cleaning was also prominently raised. Stress was laid on ensuring regular and effective cleaning of drains before the monsoon season to alleviate waterlogging problems. Councilors highlighted the difficulties caused by the poor condition of drains and lack of cleaning in various wards. Officials assured that cleaning campaigns would be intensified and monitored.

Progress on providing housing to beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) was also reviewed. Instructions were given to expedite benefits to eligible families and resolve pending applications. It was also stressed that full transparency should be maintained in the scheme's implementation, and strict action taken against any irregularities.

Various other minor and major issues for the overall development of the Nagar Parishad area were also deliberated during the meeting. Everyone reiterated their commitment to making Simri Bakhtiyarpur a clean, beautiful, and developed city.
