अररिया जिले के सिरसी गाँव में इन दिनों बिजली की लो वोल्टेज समस्या ने ग्रामीणों का जीना मुहाल कर दिया है। भीषण गर्मी और उमस के बीच, जहाँ लोगों को बिजली की सर्वाधिक आवश्यकता है, वहीं लगातार कम वोल्टेज के कारण पंखे, कूलर और मोटर जैसे उपकरण ठप पड़े हुए हैं। ग्रामीणों का कहना है कि शाम होते ही वोल्टेज इतना गिर जाता है कि बल्ब भी ठीक से नहीं जल पाते।
यह समस्या केवल उपकरणों के ठप होने तक सीमित नहीं है, बल्कि इससे जानमाल का खतरा भी बढ़ गया है। कई स्थानों पर बिजली के खंभों से चिंगारियां निकलती देखी जा रही हैं, जिससे कभी भी कोई बड़ा हादसा होने का डर बना रहता है। स्थानीय लोगों ने बताया कि इस संबंध में बिजली विभाग के अधिकारियों को कई बार शिकायत की गई है, लेकिन समस्या का समाधान अभी तक नहीं हो पाया है।
