घटना की सूचना मिलते ही सुरसंड थानाध्यक्ष लाल किशोर गुप्ता पुलिस बल के साथ मौके पर पहुंचे। पुलिस ने स्थानीय लोगों की मदद से घायल को अस्पताल पहुंचाया। इलाके में घटना के बाद अफरा-तफरी और दहशत का माहौल बन गया। थानाध्यक्ष लाल किशोर गुप्ता ने बताया कि पुलिस रेयाज को बुलाने वाले व्यक्ति की पहचान और घटना से पहले हुई बातचीत का पता लगाने में जुटी है। हमलावरों की पहचान और उनके भागने के संभावित रास्तों की जानकारी जुटाई जा रही है। आपसी रंजिश या किसी विवाद की आशंका पर भी जांच चल रही है, लेकिन अभी किसी वजह की आधिकारिक पुष्टि नहीं हुई है।
