The Superintendent of Police (SP) in Sitamarhi district organized a public grievance redressal program (Janata Darbar) with the aim of swiftly resolving common public issues. During the event, various complaints were brought forward, primarily concerning land disputes, theft-related incidents, and other pending cases at police stations. The SP listened to all matters with seriousness and directed concerned officials to take immediate action.

Complainants presented their problems to the SP. Many highlighted that their land-related disputes had been unresolved for a long time, causing them significant difficulties. Some complaints were related to theft incidents, where victims expressed concerns about slow police action. Additionally, several cases that had been pending at various police stations for a considerable period without substantial progress were also brought to light.

The SP immediately summoned the concerned Station House Officers and investigating officers. He instructed that in land dispute cases, joint investigations should be conducted in coordination with revenue department officials to find a quick resolution. For theft cases, emphasis was placed on utilizing scientific investigation methods and ensuring the arrest of culprits. Reviewing pending cases, the SP ordered officials to complete investigations and submit reports within a stipulated timeframe. He clarified that timely and effective disposal of public grievances is a police priority, and any negligence in this regard would not be tolerated. This initiative has instilled hope among the public for the resolution of their problems and increased their trust in the police.
