Residents of Hulas Chhapra village in Siwan district's Goreyakothi police station area are expressing strong dissatisfaction over the police's failure to solve a major theft at the local Kali Temple. On the night of September 15, thieves stole gold and silver ornaments worth approximately 15.15 lakh rupees from the idol of Kali Mata.

The theft came to light on the morning of September 16 when villagers arrived at the temple. Upon receiving information, Goreyakothi police promptly reached the scene and inspected the temple premises. Given the seriousness of the incident, a dog squad was also called in, which meticulously searched the temple area and its surroundings for potential clues.

Based on an application filed by local resident Dhananjay Tiwari, the police registered an FIR and initiated an investigation. Despite a thorough inspection of the crime scene and inquiries into various aspects of the theft, several days have passed without any significant breakthrough.

Villagers are critical of the slow pace of the investigation, stating that the lack of progress is increasing their frustration with the police. They have urged the authorities to expedite the probe, identify and apprehend the culprits, and recover the stolen ornaments as quickly as possible. Additionally, they have demanded enhanced security measures for temples and other religious sites. The community now awaits concrete action and a resolution from the police.
