Several potentially major rail accidents were averted in the Sonepur Division due to the vigilance and quick thinking of railway employees. For their commendable work, Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) Vivek Bhushan honored three employees with commendation letters and cash awards. The felicitation ceremony was held at the divisional headquarters, where the employees' dedication and prompt action were highly praised.

The honored employees include a track maintainer from the engineering department, a technician from the signal department, and a station master from the operating department. These employees demonstrated their vigilance in separate incidents. In one instance, a track maintainer noticed a crack in the rail track and immediately informed senior officials, thereby preventing a major accident. In another case, a signal technician identified and rectified a fault in the signal system in a timely manner, ensuring the smooth operation of trains. Meanwhile, a station master, sensing an unusual situation, made a quick decision and stopped a train, preventing a potential collision.

DRM Vivek Bhushan stated that safety is the top priority in railways and these employees have fulfilled their responsibilities admirably. He urged all employees to work with similar vigilance and dedication. He also mentioned that safety measures are being continuously strengthened in the Sonepur Division and employees are regularly trained to be prepared for any emergency. This recognition will not only motivate these three employees but also encourage other employees across the division to be more vigilant in their duties.
