सोमवार की सुबह जब दुकानदार अपनी दुकानों पर पहुंचे तो उन्होंने ताले टूटे हुए पाए। तत्काल इसकी सूचना पुलिस को दी गई। चोरी की सूचना मिलते ही स्थानीय लोग भी मौके पर जमा हो गए और चोरों की तलाश शुरू कर दी। इसी दौरान लोगों ने एक संदिग्ध युवक को पकड़ लिया। पकड़े गए युवक की पहचान राजवीर राज के रूप में हुई है, जो भागलपुर जिले के नाथनगर थाना क्षेत्र के रहने वाला बताया जा रहा है। लोगों ने संदिग्ध को पकड़कर उसकी जमकर पिटाई की और बाद में पुलिस के हवाले कर दिया। हालांकि, राजवीर राज के दो अन्य साथी मौके से फरार होने में सफल रहे।
पुलिस अब राजवीर राज से गहन पूछताछ कर रही है ताकि उसके फरार साथियों और अन्य चोरी की घटनाओं में उनकी संलिप्तता का पता लगाया जा सके। स्थानीय दुकानदारों ने पुलिस प्रशासन से सुरक्षा व्यवस्था कड़ी करने और चोरों के खिलाफ सख्त कार्रवाई की मांग की है। उनका कहना है कि आए दिन चोरी की घटनाओं से उनका व्यापार प्रभावित हो रहा है और वे असुरक्षित महसूस कर रहे हैं। इस घटना ने एक बार फिर शहर की सुरक्षा व्यवस्था पर सवाल खड़े कर दिए हैं।

Shopkeepers discovered their broken locks on Monday morning and immediately informed the police. As news of the thefts spread, locals gathered and began searching for the culprits. During their search, they apprehended a suspicious youth, identified as Rajveer Raj, reportedly from Nathnagar police station area in Bhagalpur district. The public severely beat the suspect before handing him over to the police. However, two of Rajveer Raj's accomplices managed to escape the scene.
Police are now intensely interrogating Rajveer Raj to ascertain the whereabouts of his absconding partners and their involvement in other theft cases. Local shopkeepers have urged the police administration to tighten security measures and take strict action against the thieves. They complain that frequent burglaries are negatively impacting their businesses and making them feel insecure. This incident has once again raised questions about the security situation in the town.
