Supaul, Bihar: The Supaul district administration has taken stringent action in a case involving the illegal withdrawal of Employees' Provident Fund (EPF) amounts from the Bihar Home Guard Corps office. Following an investigation that found him guilty, Home Guard Naveen Kumar has been dismissed from service. Additionally, Executive Assistant Rajesh Kumar has been removed from his position due to his involvement in the case. An FIR has been lodged at Supaul Nagar Police Station, and the police are actively investigating the matter.

The district public relations office stated that the case came to light after a written complaint was filed by two retired home guards, Mahanti Yadav and Arjun Yadav, before District Magistrate Sawan Kumar. They alleged that Home Guard Naveen Kumar manipulated their Aadhaar cards, passbooks, and family lists to create forged documents. The complainants further accused Kumar of illegally withdrawing their EPF funds using forged signatures, with the withdrawn amount allegedly received by Kumar himself and his associates.

Considering the gravity of the allegations, the District Magistrate formed a three-member inquiry committee. The committee's investigation confirmed Naveen Kumar's guilt and revealed the involvement of Executive Assistant Rajesh Kumar. Based on the inquiry report and the District Magistrate's directives, the Commandant of the Bihar Home Guard Corps, Supaul, filed an FIR at Nagar Police Station. Subsequently, Naveen Kumar was dismissed, and Rajesh Kumar was removed. The district administration confirmed that police are conducting further investigations to initiate legal proceedings. Details regarding the total amount illegally withdrawn, the alleged forged documents, and other potential individuals involved are yet to be fully disclosed.
