A man in Sursand, Sitamarhi, faced serious consequences after misbehaving with police while intoxicated. The Sursand police station acted swiftly, arresting the accused and sending him to Sitamarhi jail under judicial custody. The incident occurred on Tuesday evening.

Prem Kumar, a resident of Ward No. 7 of Sursand Nagar Panchayat, son of Jeevachh Shah, consumed excessive alcohol and then verbally abused the Dial 112 police team. He engaged in a heated argument with the police officers. As his aggressive behavior escalated, the team present at the scene quickly subdued and detained him.

Prem Kumar was arrested on charges of obstructing police duty and misbehaving while under the influence of alcohol. Following necessary paperwork and a medical examination, he was sent to Sitamarhi jail under judicial custody. Sursand Station House Officer (SHO) Lal Kishore Gupta confirmed the incident, stating that Sub-Inspector Abhijeet Singh and other police personnel were present during the arrest. The SHO also warned that strict action would continue against those who tamper with law and order.
