The main road passing through Ward No. 1 and 2 of Sursand Nagar Panchayat in Sitamarhi district is currently in a deplorable state due to severe waterlogging and mud. For a long time, accumulated water and widespread mud on the road have been causing immense difficulties for local residents and commuters. Navigating this route has become a hazardous task for people.

Continuous waterlogging has transformed the entire road into a muddy stretch filled with potholes. Pedestrians and two-wheeler riders are the most affected by this situation. Daily, numerous two-wheeler riders are losing control and falling on the slippery road, sustaining injuries. It has become extremely challenging for schoolchildren, the elderly, and women to use this path.

Local residents are expressing deep resentment towards the Nagar Panchayat administration over the dilapidated condition of the road. Taking cognizance of this serious public issue, Ward Councilor Kundan Kumar has voiced his concern. He stated that the condition of this road in Ward No. 1 and 2 is extremely worrisome and waterlogging has made life difficult for the general public. He has demanded that this problem be resolved on a priority basis to alleviate the dire situation faced by commuters and local residents.
