Efforts to establish an agricultural college on 37.5 acres of land at Ramkola Farm Sugar Mill in Taraiya block, Saran district, have gained momentum. On Wednesday, a central team of experts, accompanied by Maharajganj MP Janardan Singh Sigriwal, conducted a site inspection of the proposed location. This inspection has significantly bolstered hopes for the establishment of an agricultural college in the region.

The central team included Dr. Punyabrat Suvimalendu, Vice-Chancellor of Dr. Rajendra Prasad Central Agricultural University, Pusa, and Dr. Indrajit Singh, Vice-Chancellor of Bihar Animal Sciences University, Patna, along with other specialists. During the inspection, the team gathered detailed information from MP Janardan Singh Sigriwal regarding the proposed college's establishment.

Subsequently, the team obtained crucial details about the identified land's geographical condition, availability, and other necessary information from Dhananjay Tripathi, DCLR of Marhaura, and Ajay Kumar, Circle Officer of Taraiya, who were present at the site. Officials also provided a sketch map of the land to the experts. The team thoroughly surveyed the site to assess the feasibility of establishing an agricultural college there.

MP Janardan Singh Sigriwal stated that the establishment of an agricultural college in Taraiya would be a significant achievement for the area. It would promote agricultural education, provide better higher education opportunities for students, and create new avenues for agriculture-based self-employment and job creation. He expressed confidence that the college would usher in a new direction for the development of Taraiya and its surrounding areas.

Various officials and public representatives, including BDO Vibhu Vivek, SHO Satyam Pratap, District Councilor Harishankar Singh, MP representative Sanjay Singh, and MP's son Pramod Sigriwal, were present during the inspection.
