Patna: The political landscape across the country is currently marked by protests, and Bihar is no exception. Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav visited the Gardanibagh protest site on Monday, where he met with PDS dealers on strike and sharply criticized the state government. Yadav alleged that the government is ignoring the problems of various groups, including student organizations protesting for over a week and PDS dealers demanding increased commission and honorarium. He labeled the government 'deaf and dumb,' claiming it is indifferent to public issues and solely focused on retaining power. The Leader of Opposition also highlighted rising crime, inflation, and unemployment in the state, stating that youth, farmers, and the general public are all suffering while the government remains oblivious.

Regarding the BPSC examination controller's use of 'absurd' idioms for students, Tejashwi demanded an apology, emphasizing that students and youth are the pride of the nation. In response, the ruling party launched a counter-attack. Rural Development Minister Shravan Kumar stated that the government is attentive to all issues raised by student protesters and will resolve them. He asserted that Bihar is the first state in the country to provide such a large number of government jobs, with continuous recruitment drives. Minister Shravan Kumar took a jab at Tejashwi Yadav, suggesting that opposition parties are not interested in solving students' problems but rather in seizing power quickly. He clarified that the seat of power in Bihar would be obtained through the public's blessings, not through protests, and advised the opposition to wait another four years.

Notably, students are continuously protesting over TRE 4, and Tejashwi Yadav has publicly supported their movement, meeting them at the protest site. The students are upset with BPSC's decision to conduct the examination twice.
