Thousands of villagers in Ward No. 04 of Jiranagachh Panchayat, Thakurganj block, Kisanganj district, are suffering due to the extremely poor condition of a vital connecting road. Areas like Adivasi Tola Matikhura, Harijan Tola, Dhokarpeth, Mian Basti, and Bakhotoli rely on this dilapidated road, which serves as the main thoroughfare for over half a dozen villages.

Residents report that while travel is manageable on regular days, the situation deteriorates significantly during the rainy season, with the road becoming a muddy, waterlogged mess. Even walking becomes difficult, posing severe challenges for the sick, elderly, pregnant women, and schoolchildren. In emergencies, patients and pregnant women often have to be carried or supported to reach the main road, exacerbating their distress.

Community leaders and residents, including social worker Pravez Musharraf, district council candidate Tawangar Hussain Bagi alias Bunty, Habil Marandi, Charan Hasda, Raj Kumar, Md. Jabulhaq, Phulwa Sada, Jai Kishan Sada, Arun Kumar, Chuka Hasda, Harma Soren, and Ruby Tudu, have urged the relevant departments and local politicians to expedite the road's construction.

JDU MLA Gopal Kumar Agrawal from Thakurganj Assembly Constituency-53 has acknowledged the villagers' plight. He has assured them that he will soon inspect the area and take necessary steps to improve the road and transportation facilities. Villagers are hopeful that the administration and leaders will address this issue seriously to resolve their long-standing problems.
