Preparations for the proposed medical college and hospital in Thakurganj, Kishanganj district, are gaining momentum. Recently, a high-level team from the Health Department, Patna, visited Thakurganj to conduct a thorough inspection of the proposed land for the medical college. The team included key officials such as the Joint Secretary of the Health Department, Land Acquisition Officer, and Executive Engineer from the Building Construction Department.

The team meticulously examined the government land located near Piprithan Panchayat in Pothia block of Thakurganj. This land has reportedly been found suitable for the construction of the medical college. This inspection is seen as a direct result of the continuous efforts and initiatives of Thakurganj MLA Saud Alam, who had met with the Chief Minister and Health Minister to expedite the project.

The establishment of a medical college in Thakurganj will not only provide better healthcare facilities to the local population but also generate new employment opportunities in the region. The construction of the medical college and hospital will create jobs for doctors, nurses, paramedical staff, and other support personnel. Additionally, other commercial activities related to the college will develop, strengthening the local economy.
