In an incident from West Champaran district, a youth was brutally assaulted by the husband of a Panchayat head for questioning delays in road construction and development work. The incident, which occurred in Dhamaura Panchayat under Lauriya block, involved Kamlesh Yadav, husband of the Panchayat head, mercilessly beating Jamaluddin Hasan, a resident of Vrindavan.

A video of the assault has gone viral on social media, sparking widespread outrage and discussion in the area. The video clearly shows Jamaluddin Hasan asking Kamlesh Yadav, "Why hasn't the road been built yet...?" Following this, Yadav allegedly became enraged, verbally abused the youth, and then physically assaulted him. The entire incident was recorded on a mobile phone by an eyewitness and is now being widely shared across various social media platforms, including Facebook.

The viral video has led to strong condemnation of the Panchayat head's husband's conduct among villagers, with local residents expressing significant anger over the incident.

Sathi Station House Officer (SHO) Rajan Kumar stated that the police have taken note of the video circulating on social media. However, he confirmed that no written complaint has yet been received from the victim or any other party. SHO Kumar emphasized that the police are vigilant given the sensitivity of the matter. He assured that as soon as a written complaint is filed at the police station by the aggrieved party, an FIR will be immediately registered, a thorough investigation will be conducted, and strict legal action will be taken against the culprits.
