A woman activist, Sushma Kumari, met with the Block Development Officer (BDO) in Guraru block, Gaya district, to address various issues faced by villagers in different panchayats. She submitted an application to the BDO on Wednesday around 2 PM, requesting an immediate resolution to these problems.

The application highlighted several key concerns affecting residents of Deokali, Kanausi, and Guraru panchayats. Prominent among these were the insufficient water supply under the Nal-Jal scheme and acute drinking water shortages in several areas. Additionally, issues related to the Indira Awas Yojana (housing scheme) and local ponds were also detailed in the application.

Sushma Kumari stated that villagers in these panchayats are encountering numerous difficulties in accessing the benefits of government schemes. She presented the villagers' problems to the BDO and urged him to take necessary steps promptly. She emphasized the importance of bringing these rural issues to the attention of officials to ensure that people receive the full benefits of government initiatives and basic amenities. She specifically demanded swift action on the drinking water problem and other related concerns.
