A startling incident has emerged from Jamui district where a woman was bitten by a snake. Following the incident, the woman's family displayed remarkable presence of mind by trapping the snake in a box. The event occurred in Nayagaon Lakhay, under Gangra Panchayat in Gidhaur block of Jamui. The victim has been identified as 50-year-old Anita Devi, wife of late Ramlakhan Yadav.

According to reports, Anita Devi was moving a sack kept in her house when a venomous snake suddenly emerged from inside the sack and bit her hand. Anita Devi cried out in pain, and her family members rushed to the scene. They found the snake still near the sack.

The family members, without wasting any time, decided to catch the snake. Showing courage, they carefully caught the snake and confined it in a plastic box. This step was taken with the intention of taking the snake to a doctor to identify its species, which is often crucial for administering the correct anti-venom in snakebite cases.

The woman was immediately taken to Gidhaur Primary Health Center for treatment. After receiving initial first aid, given her serious condition, doctors referred her to Jamui Sadar Hospital for better care. Anita Devi is currently undergoing treatment at Sadar Hospital, and her condition is reported to be out of danger. The local community is commending the family's quick thinking and their effort to bring the snake to the doctors.
