A woman was seriously injured after being attacked by a mongoose in Laxmipur village, Sihma Panchayat. The incident occurred on Tuesday morning when the woman was near her home. According to reports, 60-year-old Meena Devi, a resident of Laxmipur village, was suddenly attacked by a mongoose. It is believed that the mongoose was fighting with a dog when it bit Meena Devi on the leg.

The mongoose attack left deep scratches and bleeding on Meena Devi's leg. Her family immediately rushed her to a local health center for treatment. After primary first aid, doctors administered an anti-rabies vaccine. Health workers emphasized that there is a risk of rabies after a mongoose bite, making vaccination mandatory. Meena Devi's condition is now reported to be stable, but she will remain under observation for a few more days.
