A tragic incident occurred on Monday in Supaul district, within the Marouna police station area, where a 12-year-old boy drowned while bathing in the Tilyuga River. The family of the deceased is in deep shock, and a pall of grief has descended upon the entire village. Police have sent the body to Sadar Hospital Supaul for post-mortem examination. The administration has announced that the victim's family will receive financial assistance under the disaster relief scheme.

The deceased has been identified as Ravi Nandan Kumar, son of Mukesh Yadav, a resident of Ward No. 5 of Ganoura Panchayat. According to information, Ravi Nandan had gone to bathe in the Tilyuga River, located in Ward No. 6 of Ganoura, with a friend. While bathing, he went into deep water and began to drown. His companion managed to swim to safety and alerted nearby residents about the incident.

Upon receiving the information, a large number of villagers rushed to the riverbank and began searching for Ravi Nandan. After considerable effort, villagers recovered the boy's body from the river. The family has been inconsolable since the incident. Ganoura Panchayat मुखिया Jitendra Kumar confirmed the incident, stating that he reached the spot upon receiving the news and consoled the grieving family. Local public representative Lal Kumar also arrived at the scene.

Marouna police also reached the spot after being informed. Station House Officer Reman Bhaskar stated that the body has been taken into custody and sent for post-mortem, and necessary legal procedures are being completed. The Marouna Circle Officer (CO) informed that after the post-mortem process is completed, financial assistance will be provided to the victim's family as per rules under the disaster relief scheme. The entire village is in mourning following this incident.
