A tragic incident unfolded in Bakhtiyarpur, Patna, late Tuesday evening, where a 12-year-old girl died due to electrocution. The unfortunate event occurred as the girl was returning home after attending her tuition classes. The deceased has been identified as Khushi Kumari, daughter of local resident Dinesh Paswan.

According to reports, Khushi Kumari came into contact with an iron pole while on her way back from tuition. It is suspected that the pole was live with electricity, causing her to suffer a severe electric shock. Following the incident, the girl collapsed. Onlookers immediately rushed her to a local hospital, but it was too late. Doctors declared Khushi brought dead upon examination.

The incident has cast a pall of gloom over the entire area. Local residents are questioning the negligence of the electricity department, stating that similar accidents have occurred previously due to open or unsecured electrical poles, yet no concrete action has been taken by the department. They have demanded immediate repair of all such unsafe electrical structures and implementation of proper measures to prevent recurrence of such incidents in the future.

Upon receiving information about the incident, the police also arrived at the scene, took custody of the body, and sent it for post-mortem examination. The police have initiated an investigation into the matter. This heartbreaking incident has once again highlighted the dangers posed by open electrical wires and unsecured poles in both urban and rural areas.
