The more than 150-year-old tradition of Maa Kali worship has commenced with great devotion in the Maa Kali Temple located in Chandpura Ward-1, coinciding with the auspicious occasion of Ashadh Bairagan. This religious practice symbolizes deep faith and cultural heritage for the people of the region. For centuries, villagers have been performing Maa Kali puja annually on this special occasion, showcasing their unwavering devotion.

According to the temple priest and local villagers, the period of Ashadh Bairagan is dedicated to the special adoration of Maa Kali. During this time, the temple premises witness a large influx of devotees, and the entire atmosphere becomes steeped in devotion. From morning, devotees queue up for darshan and worship of Maa Kali. The puja begins with traditional rituals and chanting of mantras, in which local residents actively participate.
