मधुबनी जिले के फुलपरास थाना परिसर में बुधवार को भारी मात्रा में जब्त की गई अवैध शराब को नष्ट किया गया। उत्पाद अधिनियम के तहत की गई इस कार्रवाई में लगभग 2600 लीटर अवैध शराब को जेसीबी मशीन से कुचलकर नष्ट कर दिया गया। यह शराब विभिन्न छापेमारी अभियानों के दौरान जब्त की गई थी और कई मामलों में साक्ष्य के तौर पर रखी गई थी।
पुलिस अधीक्षक के निर्देश पर और न्यायिक प्रक्रिया पूरी होने के बाद यह कार्रवाई की गई। इस दौरान फुलपरास थाना अध्यक्ष के साथ अन्य पुलिसकर्मी और उत्पाद विभाग के अधिकारी भी मौजूद रहे। नष्ट की गई शराब में देसी और विदेशी दोनों प्रकार की अवैध शराब शामिल थी, जिसे बिहार में शराबबंदी कानून का उल्लंघन करते हुए बेचा या परिवहन किया जा रहा था।
अधिकारियों ने बताया कि शराबबंदी कानून को प्रभावी ढंग से लागू करने के लिए लगातार छापेमारी अभियान चलाए जा रहे हैं। शराब की तस्करी और बिक्री में संलिप्त लोगों के खिलाफ कड़ी कार्रवाई की जा रही है। जब्त की गई शराब को समय-समय पर नियमानुसार नष्ट किया जाता है ताकि इसका दुरुपयोग न हो सके। यह कार्रवाई शराब माफियाओं के लिए एक स्पष्ट संदेश है कि बिहार में अवैध शराब के कारोबार को किसी भी कीमत पर बर्दाश्त नहीं किया जाएगा। इस प्रकार की कार्रवाई से न केवल कानून का पालन सुनिश्चित होता है, बल्कि समाज में अपराध पर नियंत्रण स्थापित करने में भी मदद मिलती है।
In a significant move to enforce prohibition laws, approximately 2600 liters of illegal liquor were destroyed at the Phulparas Police Station in Madhubani district on Wednesday. The seized alcohol, accumulated from various raids and held as evidence in multiple cases, was crushed by a JCB machine.
This action was carried out under the Excise Act, following directives from the Superintendent of Police and completion of judicial procedures. Officials from the Phulparas Police Station, including the Station House Officer, and personnel from the Excise Department were present during the destruction. The destroyed liquor comprised both country-made and foreign brands, all illegally trafficked or sold in violation of Bihar's prohibition law.
Authorities reiterated their commitment to stringent enforcement of the liquor ban through continuous raids and strict action against those involved in illicit liquor trade. Regular destruction of seized alcohol prevents its misuse and sends a strong message to liquor mafias that illegal alcohol business will not be tolerated in Bihar.
