मधुबनी जिले के झंझारपुर में अनुमंडल पदाधिकारी (SDO) के आवास के ठीक सामने से पुलिस ने अवैध शराब की बड़ी खेप जब्त की है। यह घटना क्षेत्र में अवैध शराब कारोबार की बढ़ती चुनौती को उजागर करती है। झंझारपुर पुलिस ने गुप्त सूचना के आधार पर कार्रवाई करते हुए कुल 27 बोतल विदेशी शराब बरामद की है। हालांकि, मौके से कोई तस्कर पकड़ा नहीं जा सका और पुलिस ने अज्ञात तस्करों के खिलाफ मामला दर्ज कर लिया है।
पुलिस सूत्रों के अनुसार, झंझारपुर अनुमंडल पदाधिकारी के आवास के सामने सड़क किनारे एक लावारिस बैग पड़ा होने की सूचना मिली थी। सूचना मिलते ही झंझारपुर थाना की पुलिस टीम तत्काल मौके पर पहुंची और बैग की तलाशी ली। तलाशी के दौरान बैग से विभिन्न ब्रांडों की 27 बोतल विदेशी शराब बरामद हुई। बरामद शराब को जब्त कर थाने लाया गया है।
पुलिस ने बताया कि अज्ञात तस्करों के खिलाफ बिहार मद्य निषेध एवं उत्पाद अधिनियम के तहत प्राथमिकी दर्ज कर ली गई है। पुलिस अब इस बात की जांच कर रही है कि यह शराब यहां कैसे पहुंची और कौन लोग इसके पीछे हैं। आसपास के सीसीटीवी फुटेज खंगाले जा रहे हैं और मुखबिरों से जानकारी जुटाने का प्रयास किया जा रहा है। इस घटना ने एक बार फिर शराबबंदी वाले बिहार में शराब तस्करों के दुस्साहस को उजागर किया है, जहां वे अब सरकारी अधिकारियों के आवास के करीब भी ऐसी गतिविधियों को अंजाम देने से नहीं कतरा रहे हैं। पुलिस ने भरोसा दिलाया है कि जल्द ही तस्करों की पहचान कर उन्हें गिरफ्तार कर लिया जाएगा।
