A colossal 308-wheeled 'Mahabali' truck, transporting a Belgian-made machine from Odisha to Lakhimpur Kheri in Uttar Pradesh, continues to draw significant attention due to its immense size and slow progress. After traversing Odisha, Jharkhand, and Bihar, the convoy has now reached Uttar Pradesh and is moving towards the Birno Toll Plaza.

A team of experts precedes the massive vehicle, clearing obstacles such as power lines, trees, and narrow roads to ensure its safe passage. In Varanasi, sections of footover bridges on the four-lane highway in Sandaha, Umrahan, and Chaubepur were temporarily dismantled to create a clear path. After a slow departure from the Kaithi Toll Plaza, the convoy is now heading towards Birno Toll Plaza.

The route for this extraordinary equipment has been altered, and it will now proceed from Ghazipur towards Lakhimpur Kheri. Due to its immense weight, the vehicle can cover only 10-20 kilometers per day. It was previously stuck in Chandauli for two days. Given its snail-like pace, it is estimated to take another three to four weeks to reach its final destination at Balrampur Sugar Mill in Kumbhi.

The sight of this massive truck has gathered large crowds of villagers and commuters along its route, who stop to take photos and videos, turning it into a local spectacle. According to NHAI officials, all necessary traffic and security arrangements have been made within the district limits. A highway patrolling team and technical experts are constantly accompanying the vehicle. Anik Bharti, Senior Project Manager for the logistics company, stated that the truck initially had 308 wheels when it began its journey from Odisha, which have since been reduced to 260 for convenience.
