Five people, including an elderly woman, were injured in separate bee attacks on Monday in various parts of the Katoria block area of Banka district. The injured have been identified as Anu Yadav from Kolhasar Panchayat, his daughter Sarojini Kumari, his 65-year-old mother Sakmaniya Devi, Sunil Yadav from Tasariya village of Bhorsar-Bhelwa Panchayat, and Pokhar Tanti from Kagisar village. All the injured received treatment at the Katoria Community Health Centre by Dr. Vinod Kumar and Dr. Shailjanand Shukla.

According to reports, Sakmaniya Devi had gone towards a field near her house when a swarm of bees attacked her. When her son and granddaughter rushed to rescue her after hearing her cries, all three were injured in the bee attack. Similarly, Sunil Yadav and Pokhar Tanti had gone towards the jungle near their village, where they were also attacked by bees and sustained injuries. All the injured were immediately rushed to the Katoria Community Health Centre for treatment.
