Despite the prohibition law in Bihar, the smuggling of liquor from neighboring countries continues unabated. In a significant operation, the police successfully seized a large quantity of Nepali liquor from an auto-rickshaw. Acting on a tip-off, law enforcement officers intercepted and searched the auto-rickshaw, leading to the discovery of approximately 75 liters of Nepali liquor bottles. The liquor was cleverly concealed in various small and large packages to evade detection.

During the operation, two liquor smugglers were apprehended on the spot. Interrogation of the arrested individuals is underway to uncover the broader network involved in this illicit trade and identify other accomplices. According to police sources, the seized liquor was being smuggled from Nepal into Bihar with the intent of selling it in local markets. Authorities are also investigating the estimated value of the liquor and the potential profits from its sale.
