An attempted robbery took place at the Bihar Gramin Bank located at Noorchak Chowk in the Bisfi police station area of Madhubani district on Tuesday night. Unidentified criminals targeted the bank, but were ultimately unsuccessful in stealing any cash.

The perpetrators first broke the shutter's lock, then forced open the main gate to gain entry. Following this, they also broke the lock of the cashier's room. The incident is reported to have occurred between 1:30 AM and 2:00 AM on Tuesday night. On Wednesday morning at 9:30 AM, when bank employees arrived to open the branch, they discovered the main gate's lock broken.

Bank staff immediately informed the Bisfi police and the district's head office. Upon receiving the report, Bisfi police arrived at the scene and commenced their investigation. Inside the bank, employees found the cashier's room lock broken and various bank documents scattered. However, according to bank officials, all cash remained secure. Police reviewed the bank's CCTV footage, which showed two masked individuals. Due to the unclear facial features, the identities of the criminals could not be established. Branch Manager Namrata Kumari has filed a complaint against unknown assailants at the Bisfi police station, and further investigation is underway.
