Araria. The District Education Office in Araria has issued a show-cause notice to 12 Sanskrit teachers and staff members in the district, demanding an explanation within 24 hours regarding the non-approval of their appointments by the Bihar Sanskrit Education Board. The office has warned of unilateral departmental action if no response is received within the stipulated time.

According to a letter issued by the DEO office, this action is based on a letter from the Secretary of the Bihar Sanskrit Education Board, Patna, dated July 9, 2026, and a complaint filed by Sagar Kumar (Sagar Jha) on the 'Sahyog' portal. Neeraj Kumar, Secretary of the Sanskrit Education Board, had instructed the District Education Officer (DEO) to take action in the matter. Following this directive, an order was issued to all concerned teachers and staff to present their side within 24 hours.

Those who have been issued show-cause notices include teachers Vinayanand Jha, Lalan Kumar Jha, Sanjeev Kumar Yadav, Arya Kumari, Saroj Kumar Thakur, Vikramaditya, Rajiv Kumar Mehta, Rakesh Kumar Mishra, Dilip Kumar Jha, and Vinay Kumar Jha. Additionally, clerk Pawan Kumar Jha and peon Mithilesh Kumar Jha are also on the list. Specifically, teachers Rajiv Kumar Mehta, Rakesh Kumar Mishra, and Dilip Kumar Jha from Tasovar School, Dhapri (Palasi), and teacher Vinay Kumar Jha from Maheshwari Sanskrit High School, Madanpur, are among those asked for an explanation.
