Questions have been raised regarding the actions taken by the education department in Araria district concerning fake BTET mark sheet cases. The department's operational methods are under scrutiny due to different actions being taken against three teachers despite similar allegations. Sandeep Ranjan, DPO Establishment, filed a case at Simraha police station based on a letter from the vigilance department, after the BTET mark sheet of Shivaji, a Panchayat teacher cum special teacher at Primary School Laxmipur Purandaha in Forbesganj block, was found to be fake during investigation. Subsequently, on July 16, he was suspended and his headquarters were set at Forbesganj BRC.

On the same day, in cases against Mukesh Bharti, a teacher at Nawsarjit Primary School Dhuniya Tola Belai, and Neetu Kumari, a teacher at Primary School Simraha, recommendations were sent to their respective नियोजन इकाइयां (appointment units) for termination of their services. Despite similar allegations in all three cases, the disparate actions have raised questions about the department's transparency and decision-making process. There is speculation as to why only suspension was recommended in Shivaji's case, while service termination was recommended in the other two, given the similar nature of the accusations. This inconsistency has led to dissatisfaction among the teaching community and the public, prompting calls for a fair investigation.
