The student and youth movement in Araria has intensified. On Monday, various student and youth organizations initiated a one-day hunger strike at the protest site within the Collectorate premises, demanding the resignation of the Education Minister. This movement primarily focuses on critical issues such as paper leaks, irregularities in competitive examinations, and the deteriorating state of the education system.

Activists have issued a clear warning that their protests will continue until their demands are met. Dozens of workers from several student and youth organizations, including Youth Union Araria, Bihar Youth Organization, and All India Youth Federation, participated in this hunger strike. The demonstrators also expressed solidarity with the demands of social activist Sonam Wangchuk, emphasizing the need to raise voices nationwide for education, youth rights, and a transparent examination system.

Students on hunger strike alleged that continuous paper leaks and irregularities in recent competitive and academic examinations have jeopardized the future of millions of young people. They also stated that neglect of budgetary allocations for education and the Education Ministry's inaction have led to deep dissatisfaction among the youth. Protesters accused the government of failing to improve the education system and ensure transparency in examinations.

The students further clarified that their movement would persist until the Education Minister resigns and concrete decisions are made regarding their key demands. The hunger strike continued throughout the day at the protest site. In the next phase of the movement, a protest will be organized at 4 PM and a candle march at 6 PM, through which demands for improvements in the education system, a fair examination system, and youth rights will be raised. Protesters have appealed to more students and youth to join this movement.
