The intermittent rainfall over the past four to five days in Araria district has begun to impact the roads. Near the Trishulia Ghat Bridge over the Parman River in Araria city, a rain cut on the road is continuously widening, increasing the risk of accidents for commuters.

According to local residents, this spot had previously experienced a similar rain cut issue, which was subsequently repaired by the concerned department. However, incessant rainfall has once again led to soil erosion. A section of the road has now become weak, and the rain cut is gradually expanding, causing difficulties for heavy vehicles, two-wheelers, and pedestrians alike.

Commuters express concern that a major accident could occur at any time if timely repairs are not undertaken, especially during nighttime and rainy conditions. Many drivers are passing through cautiously at slow speeds, yet the fear of an accident persists. Local citizens have urged the administration and the relevant department to implement a permanent solution immediately. They emphasize the need for robust protective measures to prevent further erosion, rather than just temporary repairs.

With the current spell of rain ongoing, if necessary steps are not taken soon, the rain cut could expand further, potentially damaging a larger section of the road.
