The city of Arrah is immersed in a devotional atmosphere as Navratri celebrations commence. On Saturday, local markets witnessed a huge rush of devotees purchasing puja materials. Shops selling kalash (holy urns), chunri (sacred scarves), garlands, images of Goddess Durga, fruits, flowers, and other worship items were bustling throughout the day. Residents were also busy with preparations for kalash sthapana (installation of the holy urn) in their homes and puja pandals.

In anticipation of Navratri, major Durga temples across the city have been specially adorned. Temples are being decorated with vibrant flowers and colorful lights. Work to finalize the puja pandals for the installation of Goddess Durga's idols is also progressing rapidly.

Maa Aranya Devi Temple has been elaborately decorated with flowers and special lighting arrangements. Volunteers have been deployed to manage the anticipated crowds of devotees. The Navdurga Temple located at Ramna Maidan is also being beautifully embellished. Mahant Suman Baba of the temple informed that special aarti (prayer ceremony) will be performed twice daily, in the morning and evening, during Navratri. Vijayadashami is scheduled to be celebrated on October 20th this year. The Navdurga Temple near the railway station has been illuminated with LED bulbs, adding to its grandeur.
