In Asthawan block of Nalanda district, a fine of ₹500 will now be imposed on those who park their vehicles improperly on the roadside. This decision has been taken with the aim of curbing the increasing traffic congestion and road accidents in Asthawan market. The local administration has taken this step to streamline the traffic system and alleviate difficulties faced by the general public.

Officials stated that people often park their vehicles on the side or in the middle of the main road in Asthawan market, leading to traffic jams. This problem becomes particularly severe near the vegetable market and other commercial areas. This not only obstructs pedestrians and other vehicles but also increases the risk of accidents.

Under this new arrangement, if any vehicle driver is found parking their vehicle incorrectly on the roadside, an immediate fine of ₹500 will be imposed. Police and traffic department personnel have been instructed to strictly enforce this rule. Additionally, people have been appealed to park their vehicles only in designated parking areas and adhere to traffic rules.

The administration believes that this fine provision will raise public awareness and deter people from haphazardly parking vehicles on the road.
