The 80th Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm on Saturday in the Babubarhi block of Madhubani district. On this occasion, the national flag, the 'Tiranga', was hoisted in all government and non-government institutions, offices, and educational institutions across the block. The main flag-hoisting ceremonies were held at the Block Office, Anchal Office, CDPO Office, Police Station premises, Block Hospital, and High School premises.

Additionally, flag hoisting was also carried out in all government and private schools located in the villages of the block. Following the flag hoisting, attending officials, public representatives, and citizens paid homage to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the country's independence. On this occasion, children from various government and private schools in the area presented colorful cultural programs. Students showcased their talents through patriotic songs, dances, and short plays, which were highly appreciated by the attendees. The entire block area was filled with a festive atmosphere throughout the day, with patriotic slogans echoing, demonstrating a strong sense of national pride. This event served as an important occasion to remember the sacrifices of freedom fighters and to instill a spirit of patriotism in the younger generation.
