बछवाड़ा थाना क्षेत्र में एक दर्दनाक सड़क हादसे में एक युवक की मौके पर ही मौत हो गई, जबकि एक युवती गंभीर रूप से घायल हो गई। घटना बुधवार देर शाम उस वक्त हुई जब दो बाइकों की आमने-सामने की टक्कर हो गई। मृतक की पहचान पगड़ा निवासी स्व. अशोक पासवान के 20 वर्षीय पुत्र राजीव कुमार के रूप में हुई है। वहीं, घायल युवती महानैया निवासी मुन्ना महतो की पुत्री बताई जा रही है।
प्रत्यक्षदर्शियों के अनुसार, टक्कर इतनी भीषण थी कि दोनों बाइकों के परखच्चे उड़ गए। राजीव कुमार ने मौके पर ही दम तोड़ दिया, जबकि घायल युवती को आनन-फानन में स्थानीय लोगों की मदद से अस्पताल पहुंचाया गया। उसकी हालत चिंताजनक बताई जा रही है। घटना की सूचना मिलते ही बछवाड़ा थाना पुलिस मौके पर पहुंची और शव को कब्जे में लेकर पोस्टमार्टम के लिए भेज दिया। पुलिस ने क्षतिग्रस्त बाइकों को भी जब्त कर लिया है।
इस दुखद घटना से पगड़ा और महानैया दोनों गांवों में शोक की लहर दौड़ गई है। मृतक राजीव कुमार के परिजनों का रो-रोकर बुरा हाल है। स्थानीय लोगों ने बताया कि राजीव अपने घर का इकलौता कमाने वाला सदस्य था। इस घटना के बाद से पूरे इलाके में मातम पसरा हुआ है। पुलिस मामले की जांच कर रही है और यह पता लगाने की कोशिश कर रही है कि दुर्घटना किस वजह से हुई। प्रथम दृष्टया तेज रफ्तार और लापरवाही को दुर्घटना का कारण माना जा रहा है।

The incident occurred late Wednesday evening when two motorcycles collided head-on. The deceased has been identified as 20-year-old Rajiv Kumar, son of late Ashok Paswan, a resident of Pagda. The injured woman is reportedly the daughter of Munna Mahto, a resident of Mahanaiya.
Eyewitnesses stated that the collision was so severe that both bikes were completely wrecked. Rajiv Kumar died instantly, while the injured woman was rushed to the hospital by locals. Her condition is reported to be critical. Upon receiving information, Bachhwara police arrived at the scene, took custody of the body, and sent it for post-mortem examination. The damaged motorcycles have also been seized. The incident has cast a pall of grief over both Pagda and Mahanaiya villages. Rajiv Kumar's family is inconsolable.
