An 11-year-old boy died on the spot in a tragic road accident in Banka district, within the Dhoreya police station area, on Friday evening. The incident occurred near Ahiro village on the Panjwara-Dhoreya main road when a speeding Scorpio hit the boy. The deceased has been identified as Siddique Ansari, son of Ghulam Ansari, a resident of Ahiro village. The Scorpio driver fled the scene with the vehicle after the accident.

According to information, Siddique Ansari was walking towards his field on Friday evening and was standing by the roadside. A speeding black Scorpio, traveling from Dhoreya towards Panjwara, struck him with great force. The impact was so severe that the boy was critically injured and succumbed to his injuries on the spot.

Upon receiving information about the incident, the Dhoreya police's 112 dial unit immediately reached the spot and took the boy to the Dhoreya Community Health Center, where doctors declared him dead. The deceased's father, Ghulam Ansari, stated that he was operating a tractor in the field at the time, and his son was coming towards the field.

The tragic news caused an uproar among the family members. The deceased's grandmother Gulshan, mother Afsari Khatoon, and uncle Salim were inconsolable. Angered by the incident, family members and villagers blocked the road near Ahiro village with bamboo poles, disrupting traffic for about an hour. Dhoreya police arrived at the scene and pacified the villagers, after which the blockade was lifted. Station House Officer Amit Kumar stated that the body has been sent for post-mortem, and further action is being taken in the matter.
