The Banka district administration has conducted a thorough review of the preparations for Shravani Mela 2026. During this review, District Magistrate Anshul Agarwal and Superintendent of Police inspected the Kanwariya path, assessing health, sanitation, and security arrangements. They issued several crucial directives to ensure the comfort and safety of pilgrims.

To guarantee the successful, safe, and smooth operation of the world-renowned Shravani Mela, the administration is maintaining continuous vigilance. As part of this effort, the DM and SP visited various sectors, including Dhauri, Dumma, and Godiyari. They meticulously inspected the facilities and security measures provided for devotees. All sector officers were present at their designated locations, from whom the DM gathered information about their duties and instructed them to carry out all pilgrim-related tasks with full responsibility. He emphasized that negligence at any level would not be tolerated.

The District Magistrate also inspected the temporary medical camps run by the Health Department. Noticing that a medical camp was situated relatively far from the temple, he directed officials to relocate it closer to the temple, ensuring immediate medical assistance for Kanwariya pilgrims. Subsequently, he inspected the toilets and bathing facilities operated by the Public Health Engineering Department and instructed that regular cleanliness be maintained. Given the arrival of millions of devotees, special emphasis was placed on sanitation.

During the inspection, the DM and SP also interacted with Kanwariya pilgrims, seeking their feedback on the facilities provided by the administration. The pilgrims expressed satisfaction with the district administration's arrangements. Finally, the District Magistrate instructed all officials to continuously monitor the arrangements related to pilgrim convenience, safety, and sanitation, and to promptly address any shortcomings. The administration's goal is to provide excellent facilities and ensure a completely safe and organized journey for pilgrims during Shravani Mela 2026.
