स्वतंत्रता दिवस के उपलक्ष्य में बांका नगर परिषद द्वारा स्कूली बच्चों, प्रधानमंत्री आवास योजना के लाभार्थियों और उनके बच्चों के लिए विभिन्न प्रतियोगिताओं का आयोजन किया गया। इन प्रतियोगिताओं में निबंध लेखन, चित्रकला और प्रश्नोत्तरी शामिल थीं। इन आयोजनों का मुख्य उद्देश्य बच्चों में रचनात्मक प्रतिभा को बढ़ावा देना और उन्हें सरकारी योजनाओं के साथ-साथ सामाजिक विषयों के प्रति जागरूक करना था।
निबंध लेखन प्रतियोगिता का विषय 'प्लास्टिक: अभिशाप या वरदान' रखा गया था। इस प्रतियोगिता में वार्ड-25, अलीगंज निवासी चतुर्भुज मिश्रा की पुत्री श्वेता कुमारी ने प्रथम स्थान प्राप्त किया। चित्रकला प्रतियोगिता में साक्षी कुमारी ने अपनी कला का प्रदर्शन करते हुए पहला स्थान हासिल किया। इसके अतिरिक्त, प्रधानमंत्री आवास योजना (शहरी) से संबंधित प्रश्नोत्तरी प्रतियोगिता भी आयोजित की गई। इसमें वार्ड-2, गांधी नगर-गरनिया निवासी शैलेन्द्र मंडल की पुत्री आयुषी कुमारी ने प्रथम स्थान प्राप्त किया। इन प्रतियोगिताओं के माध्यम से बच्चों को अपनी प्रतिभा निखारने और महत्वपूर्ण सामाजिक मुद्दों पर सोचने का अवसर मिला।
Ahead of Independence Day, the Banka Nagar Parishad organized various competitions for school children, beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, and their children. These events included essay writing, drawing, and quiz competitions. The primary objective was to encourage creative talent among children and raise their awareness about government schemes and social issues.
The essay writing competition focused on the theme 'Plastic: A Curse or a Boon'. Shweta Kumari, daughter of Chaturbhuj Mishra from Ward-25, Aliganj, secured the first position in this category. In the drawing competition, Sakshi Kumari demonstrated her artistic skills and claimed the first prize. Additionally, a quiz competition related to the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) was held, where Ayushi Kumari, daughter of Shailendra Mandal from Ward-2, Gandhi Nagar-Garniya, won the top spot. These competitions provided an excellent platform for children to hone their talents and engage with important social topics.
