A tragic incident in Banka district saw a 65-year-old farmer die of electrocution while inspecting his crops. The incident occurred in Chitrasen village, under the Jilebiya Mor police station jurisdiction. The deceased has been identified as Bhairav Yadav, a resident of Chitrasen.

According to reports, Bhairav Yadav had gone to his field as usual to check on his crops. It is believed that another farmer had laid an electric wire in the same area for irrigation purposes. While walking, Bhairav Yadav came into contact with this live wire. He was electrocuted and died on the spot.

At the time of the incident, no other farmers or villagers were present nearby. When Bhairav Yadav did not return home for a long time, his family members began searching for him. They found him lying near the electric wire in the field. Raising an alarm, nearby villagers rushed to the scene and managed to cut off the power supply. With the help of villagers, he was taken to a local hospital, where doctors declared him dead after examination.

Upon receiving the information, Jilebiya Mor police station personnel arrived at the scene and gathered details about the incident. The police took custody of the body and sent it to Banka Sadar Hospital for post-mortem examination. The family, including his mother Phool Batiya Devi, wife Bunty Devi, sons Ramesh Yadav and Suraj Kumar, and daughters Babita Devi and Kavita Devi, are in deep shock and mourning. The Station House Officer confirmed that the farmer's death was due to electrocution.
