A minor girl, who was abducted with the intention of marriage from the Shambhuganj police station area in Banka district, has been rescued by the police. In connection with the case, the accused youth, Ganesh Kumar, has been arrested and sent to Banka jail. The arrested youth is a resident of Kamaddi village, also within the Shambhuganj police station jurisdiction.

Shambhuganj Station House Officer (SHO) Prabhakar Kumar stated on Tuesday evening around 5:30 PM that approximately three days prior, a report was received about a minor girl missing from a village. Her parents alleged that Ganesh Kumar from Kamaddi village had enticed her and taken her away with the intention of marriage. Following this, the girl's parents lodged a complaint against Ganesh Kumar at the Shambhuganj police station.

Upon registration of the case, the police took the matter seriously and initiated immediate action. A police team conducted raids at several potential locations to find the girl and apprehend the accused. Ganesh Kumar was arrested, and the minor girl was safely located. The rescued girl has been sent to court with female police officers to record her statement. According to SHO Prabhakar Kumar, further action in the case will be taken after the girl's statement is recorded in court. Meanwhile, the arrested accused has been sent to Banka jail after completing legal formalities.
