Residents of Ward No. 2 in Bara Panchayat, Bihar, are facing severe hardships due to incomplete development works. The lack of basic facilities such as rural roads, piped water supply (Nal-Jal Yojana), and streetlights has made daily life challenging. Locals report that government development schemes have not fully reached their ward, exacerbating their problems.

According to villagers, the roads in the ward are in dilapidated condition. During the monsoon, navigating these roads becomes extremely difficult, even on foot, due to mud and potholes, leading to frequent accidents. Children struggle to reach school, and patients face immense difficulties accessing hospitals. Despite repeated appeals to the administration for road repairs, no concrete action has been taken.

Furthermore, the government's ambitious Nal-Jal Yojana remains incomplete in this ward. Many households still lack access to clean drinking water, and where connections exist, the water supply is irregular. Villagers are forced to fetch water from distant sources, wasting considerable time and energy. The consumption of contaminated water also poses health risks.

The issue of streetlights is equally critical. The ward plunges into darkness after dusk, increasing the threat from anti-social elements. Movement at night becomes unsafe, particularly for women and children. Residents claim to have repeatedly drawn the attention of panchayat representatives and local officials to these problems, but their grievances have gone unheeded. The villagers are now demanding that the government and administration address these issues promptly so they can also benefit from development schemes and improve their quality of life.
