In a significant administrative reshuffle within the Bihar Administrative Service, Barhara block has witnessed key appointments for the Block Development Officer (BDO) and Child Development Project Officer (CDPO) positions. As per the notification issued by the state government, Nilesh Kumar has been appointed as the new Block Development Officer for Barhara.

Nilesh Kumar will now oversee the development activities in Barhara block, taking charge after the transfer of the previous BDO. His primary responsibilities will include effectively implementing various government schemes and accelerating public welfare initiatives within the block. His appointment is expected to bring new vigor to the local administration.

Concurrently, Shashikala Singh has been appointed as the new Child Development Project Officer (CDPO) for Barhara. As CDPO, her main role will be to implement schemes related to the nutrition, health, and development of children, pregnant women, and lactating mothers. This includes managing Anganwadi centers under the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) program and ensuring that services reach the beneficiaries.
