On the occasion of Zero Office Day, the Block Development Officer (BDO) conducted a surprise inspection of Kesauli Panchayat. During this visit, the BDO reviewed the progress of projects under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and thoroughly inspected three primary and middle schools. This initiative by the BDO aims to ensure transparency and quality in the implementation of government schemes.

During the inspection, the BDO first met with beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. He observed the progress of houses under construction and directly inquired from beneficiaries about the quality of construction and any issues they might be facing. He instructed officials to ensure that housing construction is completed on time and according to specified standards, warning of strict action against any irregularities.

Subsequently, the BDO visited three schools in Kesauli Panchayat. He interacted with students in classrooms, assessing their academic level by asking questions on various subjects and encouraging them when satisfied with their responses. He gathered information from teachers regarding curriculum completion, teaching methods, and student attendance. The BDO also inspected the cleanliness of the school premises, the quality of midday meals, and other basic facilities. He directed that children in schools should receive a better educational environment and any shortcomings should be rectified immediately.

The objective of Zero Office Day is to allow officials to step out of their offices and understand the ground realities of scheme progress and challenges. This inspection by the BDO fulfills that purpose, aiming to accelerate development work in rural areas and ensure that the general public receives full benefits from government schemes.
