Mohanganj Ward in Tarapur Nagar Panchayat is facing severe issues due to dilapidated roads and stagnant wastewater. The lack of proper drainage has led to widespread mud and waterlogging, making it extremely difficult for commuters. Local residents like Kailash Bhagat, Gaurav Poddar, Tinkoo Swarnkar, and Ravi Sah stated that prolonged water accumulation has further damaged the roads, rendering them almost impassable on foot. Children, the elderly, and women are particularly affected.

Despite the upcoming Diwali and Chhath festivals, the road has not been cleaned. The accumulated garbage and foul smell pose a significant health risk. Residents claim to have repeatedly brought the issue to the administration's attention, but no permanent solution has been found. They have urged the Nagar Panchayat to repair the roads and establish a proper drainage system.

In response, Nagar Panchayat Accountant Roshan Kumar informed that the tender process for the road and drain construction from Purani Bazaar to Mohanganj has been completed, and an agreement has been signed with the contractor. He assured that work would commence soon. Furthermore, he stated that the stagnant water on the road in Ward 16 of Mohanganj would be cleared before Diwali.
